Takko Fashion Filtering Redesign

"The details are not the details. They make the design." — Charles Eames

Overview

The objective was to conduct a design evaluation identifying usability problems, then redesign the filtering system for ease of use, efficiency, predictability, and user appeal.

Design Approach

The design prioritized simplicity and clarity for diverse user needs, creating a prominent Sort and Filter button while improving surrounding spacing consistency.

Organized Filter Sections

Individual filtering sections were separated to help users focus on specific criteria without overwhelm. The uncluttered approach enables efficient search narrowing.

Material Design Implementation

Familiar components including radio buttons, checkboxes, and sliders were incorporated to create intuitive interfaces that build user trust.

Accessibility Enhancements

  • Color contrast enhanced for vision-impaired users
  • Descriptive text added below the Apply button to clarify selected filters
  • Color names displayed alongside color boxes to assist colorblind users
  • Spacing inconsistencies addressed for visual cohesion

The redesigned interface integrates familiar components with user-centric design, aiming to enhance engagement and improve the shopping experience through task-oriented simplification.
